My therapy approach
How these approaches come together in session
True healing happens when we treat the whole person — your mind, your emotions, and your body. In our sessions, we don’t just talk about your problems; we use a fluid, integrated loop of modern, evidence-based therapies to help you process in real time.
Skills in practice
Support that meets you from more than one direction
Untangles anxious or unhelpful thoughts
We start by identifying the thought patterns that keep you stuck, and getting some distance from them.
Equips you with concrete crisis skills
Practical, in-the-moment tools for when distress is high and you need something that works right now.
Helps you accept the moment & choose your values
Making room for difficult feelings without letting them drive the choices you actually want to make.
Grounds your nervous system
Bringing the work into the body, so the shift is felt, not just understood intellectually.
Keeps pace, choice and safety first
Nothing gets pushed before you are ready. We build stability first, and you decide what we go near and when.
Makes peace with the parts of you at war
The critic, the perfectionist, the part that wants to disappear — we get curious about what each one is protecting.
Takes under-fuelling seriously as physiology
For athletes and active people: the hormonal, bone and mood cost of low energy availability, addressed alongside the pressure that drives it.
Softens the voice you use on yourself
We practise noticing the inner critic without arguing with it, and build a kinder way of speaking to yourself that holds up on the hard days.
What we’ll explore together
Reconnecting with your body & reclaiming your life
- Tuning into your nervous system: Starting in our very first session, we will practice listening to how your body communicates. We’ll focus on identifying subtle physical cues and understanding exactly how your nervous system naturally reacts to feelings of safety and stress.
- Making sense of your coping strategies: We will explore how your past experiences and your current emotional landscape have influenced your survival skills, your adaptations, and your daily relationship with food.
- A compassionate, custom approach: Together, we will co-create a trauma-informed care plan that prioritizes harm reduction and profound self-kindness. Designed specifically for your unique nervous system, this framework is meant to help you feel more grounded, secure, and present in your daily life.
- Reconnecting with your physical self: Pressures like diet culture often force a wedge between the mind and body, teaching us to ignore our natural instincts. I believe you deserve to feel completely at home in your skin, regardless of behavioral struggles or societal expectations. We will work collaboratively to rebuild your confidence in your body’s inherent intuition.
- Dismantling harmful narratives: Disordered eating is never a sign of personal failure; rather, it is often a highly understandable reaction to a toxic cultural environment. Our goal is to separate your true identity from these outside societal pressures so you can rediscover — and finally trust — your authentic inner voice.
Starting is the hard part
A consultation is a conversation, not a commitment
Fifteen minutes by phone or video. We’ll talk about what’s going on and whether I’m the right fit for you.
